Transform Your Supply Chain Planning and Marketing Strategies with Google Cloud and SAP Integration
In today’s fast-paced technological landscape, we’re often dazzled by “moonshot” innovations and grand ambitions. But at Google Cloud, there’s a deeper understanding: true progress isn’t about just visionary ideas; it’s about embedding financial discipline and operational rigor into the very fabric of technology. It’s about delivering consistent value, focusing on sustainable growth, and ensuring measurable results.
This philosophy aligns closely with Pluto7’s approach to tackling complex challenges, especially with our proven 2:10 Rule for transforming supply chain operations.
Supply chain leaders often face overwhelming complexity. They aim for grand solutions like end-to-end digital twins or flawless forecasting systems, but these “boil the ocean” strategies can lead to lengthy, expensive projects with limited return on investment (ROI). This is where our 2:10 Rule comes in: for every 10% error in your supply chain planning—whether it’s in forecasting, promotions, or inventory positioning—you risk losing 2% of your revenue.
Instead of trying to solve everything at once, we focus on solving one critical problem at a time. Whether it’s reducing inventory carrying costs for a specific product line or optimizing demand sensing for volatile commodities, this focused approach ensures rapid time-to-value and fosters organic growth.
Planning in a Box – Pi Agent is key to this approach, offering AI-powered precision for solving these problems efficiently and effectively, helping you recover lost revenue.
Planning in a Box – Pi Agent is a purpose-built decision intelligence platform designed to revolutionize supply chain operations with precision and speed. Unlike traditional supply chain solutions, Pi Agent is built to dynamically tackle specific business challenges with actionable, real-time insights that continuously evolve based on data. Whether optimizing inventory levels, improving demand forecasting, or enhancing overall supply chain efficiency, Pi Agent brings AI capabilities directly to the heart of your operations.
A great example of this is a customer who leveraged Pi Agent to optimize inventory positioning. In just 10 seconds, they received a solution that previously took their team hours to analyze. This immediate insight resulted in millions in savings by optimizing working capital. It’s not just theory – it’s tangible ROI that demonstrates how financial discipline can be seamlessly embedded into your supply chain operations.
Pi Agent’s design inherently drives economic efficiency by zeroing in on high-impact areas that matter most to your business. It’s a practical solution that brings measurable value and sets the stage for sustainable growth.
At Pluto7, we’ve chosen to build Planning in a Box – Pi Agent on Google Cloud for strategic reasons. Our partnership is grounded in shared principles that not only power our technology but also accelerate our customers’ growth.

By Manju Devadas, CEO of Pluto7
In 2016, I founded Pluto7 with a simple but bold question: Why can Amazon plan in real time, while so many companies still struggle with outdated systems?
This question arose from my experience at Cisco, where I saw firsthand the inefficiencies of traditional supply chain management. Despite investing heavily in software solutions like Oracle EBS and SAP, companies were still struggling with real-time planning, often resorting to slow, manual processes like Excel and batch updates.
It was clear that the market needed a change. We needed a new approach that could democratize real-time, intelligent supply chain planning for every company, regardless of size.
That same year, Pluto7 made a strategic decision to go all-in on Google Cloud. This was not just a technical choice; it was a cultural alignment with our vision of data-driven, AI-powered supply chains. Google’s cloud platform was uniquely designed for the massive data sets and machine learning capabilities that we envisioned for the future.
As we looked ahead, we saw a future where AI and machine learning would be at the heart of business operations. Planning in a Box – Pi Agent was conceived with this future in mind-where AI would provide real-time insights and autonomous decision-making for businesses.
The journey wasn’t without its challenges. The supply chain industry was resistant to change, and the market wasn’t always ready for our vision. But, through dedication and resilience, Pluto7 began to see success. We’ve helped leading companies such as CDD, Tacori, Levi’s, and others transform their supply chain operations with AI.
Our commitment has also been recognized by Gartner, and we’ve played an influential role in Google Cloud’s Customer Advisory Council, shaping the go-to-market AI strategy for the cloud platform.
One of the pivotal moments in our journey was presenting at the USC Global Supply Chain Excellence Summit in August 2017. This summit highlighted the growing importance of AI and machine learning in supply chain management.
Alongside Scott Penberthy, CTO for AI and ML at Google, and Jenn Bennett, Technical Director at Google, I had the opportunity to host a session on the future of data and AI in supply chains. We explored how machine learning could democratize real-time continuous planning with streaming data, improving forecast accuracy, lead times, and on-time delivery. Special thanks to Dr. Nick Vyas for his vision and guidance in shaping the future of supply chains.
The session led to profound discussions about the challenges of managing 100,000+ vendors and handling continuous data streams. It also sparked important questions about the future of supply chain management:
These discussions were a key moment in solidifying our belief that the future of supply chain planning would be AI-driven and powered by continuous, real-time insights.
Fast forward to today, and the vision we discussed in 2017 has become a reality. The market is finally ready for AI-powered, real-time supply chain decision-making, and Pluto7 has been leading this transformation.
We’re now in what we call Silicon Valley 4.0, the era of Applied AI. Among the most exciting developments is Agentspace, Pluto7’s platform for AI Agents that make autonomous supply chain decisions. These Agentic AI solutions are replacing traditional, manual processes with intelligent agents that act, learn, and optimize in real time.
Our flagship solution, Planning in a Box – Pi Agent, is at the heart of this transformation. Pi Agent connects disparate data sets-from ERPs like SAP and Oracle, to external data sources to provide real-time insights that previously took hours to gather.
For example, a process that once took three hours to determine inventory availability can now be completed in just 10 seconds, leading to faster decisions and greater business value.
The key advantage of AI Agents is their ability to provide real-time insights by integrating and analyzing data from multiple sources, including internal systems like SAP and Oracle. The result is a massive reduction in time spent on data processing and an increase in the speed of decision-making.
With AI agents, what used to take hours like determining inventory availability or forecasting supply chain needs can now be completed in seconds. This accelerated process leads to significant improvements, such as a 2% revenue increase by reducing planning errors by just 10%.
This shift from human-driven, batch-processed planning to AI-driven, real-time optimization is more than just a technological upgrade. It represents a fundamental change in how businesses operate, moving from slow, manual processes to automated, real-time decision-making.
This shift offers major benefits, such as:
At Pluto7, we’re proud to be at the forefront of this transformation, leveraging Google Cloud’s capabilities, including BigQuery, Vertex AI, Agent Builder, and Gemini, to deliver proven ROI to our customers.
As we continue to innovate and drive change, Pluto7 remains committed to making intelligent, real-time supply chain planning accessible to all. Through Planning in a Box – Pi Agent, businesses can break free from outdated, inefficient planning systems and embrace the future one powered by AI agents and real-time data-driven decision-making.
We invite customers, partners, and talent to join us in shaping the exciting future of AI-driven supply chains. Together, we can redefine how supply chains operate in the age of AI.
